Hymn Sing for Peace Set for April 1

WASHINGTON: The Hymn Sing for Peace is scheduled for April 1 at 2pm in Lafayette Park, just across from the White House. Held annually, the hymn sing attracts singers from throughout the local area as well as many from other states including Pennsylvania and Ohio. Singers gather to share songs of peace with one another and as a witness to those who pass by. Through this annual event, others are made aware of Christ's message of peace for the entire world.

The sponsor for this year's event is the Anabaptist Peace Center, Washington, DC. Established in 2004, APC engages in education, action, and inter-denominational cooperation in order to encourage and assist both church and society to put into practice Jesus' call to peace and justice.
